Intercom and gate control

You should not have to walk to the gate to see who is standing there.

The gate is the first impression – and the first line of defence.

Couriers, drivers and visitors arrive at a site gate every day. If nobody can see and hear them, either everyone gets in or nobody does – and both are wrong.

A video intercom with remote gate control turns this into a quick, simple process: you can see who you are talking to and decide with one press – even when you are not at the gatehouse.

Intercom and gate control

  1. 01

We look at how people arrive

Pedestrians, vehicles, contractors and couriers each suit a different admission process.

  2. 02

    We install a video intercom

With a camera, clear audio and an outdoor-rated build.

  3. 03

    We add gate control

Barrier, sliding gate or pedestrian door – opened remotely and tied to access rights.

  4. 04

    We connect it to monitoring

Outside working hours calls can be routed to the control room, so they never ring into the void.

Frequently asked questions

01 What is the difference between an intercom and a video intercom?

The video version also shows the caller, so letting someone in is not a decision made on sound alone. Where there is no permanent gatehouse, this is the minimum.

02 Can it be connected to a mobile phone?

Modern units can send the call to a phone or an app, so whoever is at the gate can still reach someone when the office is empty.

03 Can an old system be extended?

Often yes, but the existing cabling decides. During the survey we check what can be reused – this affects most of the cost.
