Privacy policy
For the website of DERIK Hungária Kft.
In force from: 3 September 2026
This notice explains what happens to your details when you use this website or send us a form. We have kept it short, because the answer is short: the site sets no cookies, counts its visitors without cookies or storing personal data, and processes only what you type into a form yourself.

2We use no cookies
This website places no cookies on your device and stores nothing in your browser. We do count visitors, but without cookies: a visitor is identified by a fingerprint derived with a random key that changes daily, from which the IP address cannot be recovered, and which we delete together with the key at the end of the day. After that only counts remain: how many visitors, which pages, in which language, from which device, from where. There is no advertising tracking, and we build no profile of you. That is why we ask for no cookie consent.
Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server. When you open the site, your browser contacts no third-party provider.
3What we process, why and for how long
| What it is | What data | What we use it for | On what basis | For how long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Requesting a security assessment (via the “Request assessment” button, and on the Contact page) | Name, company, e-mail address. If you provide them: phone number, site, message. | To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. | Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). | Until the quote is prepared. |
| Reporting a fault (via the “Report a fault” button, from any page) | Description of the fault, name, company, phone number. If you provide them: e-mail address, site, how long it has been going on, urgency. | To fix the fault and get back to you. | Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). If you are not a contracted client, our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry (Article 6(1)(f)). | Until the repair work is started. |
| Job application (Careers page) | Name, phone number, e-mail address, the role applied for, and what you write about why you would like to work with us. If you attach a CV, its contents as well. | To assess your application and get in touch with you. | Steps taken at your request prior to entering into employment (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). | Until the selection process is closed. |
| Running the website | IP address, time of the request and the page visited – in the web server log. When a form is submitted, also an irreversible fingerprint of the IP address, to filter excessive submissions, for at most three hours. | Operational security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse. | Our legitimate interest in running the site securely (Article 6(1)(f)). | According to the hosting provider's log retention policy. |
| Visitor statistics | A fingerprint derived from the IP address and browser data with a key that changes daily, plus the page visited, the language, the device type and the referring site's domain. No IP address is stored. | To see how many visitors we have and which pages interest them. | Our legitimate interest in improving the site (Article 6(1)(f)). | The fingerprint is deleted at the end of the day; daily counts are kept for 13 months. |
An attached CV is NOT stored on our server: the file is read, attached to the message sent to our colleague, and discarded when the operation ends. No application archive is therefore created on the website – the application lives on in the mailbox. If a contract follows from your enquiry, the data processed under that contract is covered not by this notice but by the notice belonging to the contract, together with statutory retention obligations such as accounting rules.
4About CVs in particular
On the Careers page you may attach a CV. As this is the most sensitive processing on the site, we describe separately what happens to it.
The file is NOT placed on the website's server. It is read into memory, attached to the message that forwards your application, and discarded when the operation ends. No application archive is therefore created on the website: the CV lives on only in our mailbox.
- Who sees it: the colleagues involved in assessing applications. We forward it nowhere else and share it with no other company.
- How long we keep it: until the selection process is closed. After that we delete it together with the message.
- If you would like us to come back to you later: we ask for your separate consent. Without it we do not keep your application after the selection closes.
- You may change your mind at any time: a single message to info@derik.hu is enough and we will delete your CV along with your application.
Please send only what the application requires. Do not put data about health, religion, political opinions or trade union membership in your CV – we neither ask for nor process such data. If it does appear, we disregard it during the selection.
5Who we pass it on to
Your data is processed on our behalf by the providers below, under a written processing agreement:
- Hosting provider: Net-Tech Consulting Kft. – runs the website.
- Mail provider: Net-Tech Consulting Kft. – delivers and stores the messages sent from the forms.

6Your rights
You may ask at any time for:
- information about what data of yours we hold,
- correction of inaccurate data,
- erasure of your data,
- restriction of processing,
- a copy of your data in machine-readable form.
You may also object to processing that rests on our legitimate interest. Write to info@derik.hu or send a letter to our registered office. We will reply within one month at the latest.
