Alarm systems for the home

Peace of mind even when nobody is at home.

Alarm systems for the home

A burglar does not pick the best-protected house.

Most home burglaries are not professional jobs: they are opportunistic, quick, and take the path of least resistance. A visible, working alarm system is usually enough on its own for them to look at the next house instead.

The trouble starts when the system exists only on paper: a flat battery, a panel nobody ever arms, or a siren the neighbours have long stopped hearing. That gives peace of mind, but not protection.

Alarm systems for the home

  1. 01

    We walk through the house

We look at where someone could get in: doors, windows, terrace, garage, cellar – and where a motion detector is enough.

  2. 02

    We install a wireless system

No channelling or drilling into walls, often within a single day – even in a finished home.

  3. 03

We teach you to use it

Arming from your phone, partial arming for the night, a separate code for the cleaner or a relative.

  4. 04

We connect it to the control room

When the alarm sounds it is not the neighbour who has to act: the signal comes to us.

What does the service include?

  • Free on-site survey and recommendation
  • Wireless alarm panel and detectors
  • Door, motion and glass-break detection
  • Smoke and water detection on request
  • Mobile app: arming and status from anywhere
  • Annual maintenance including battery replacement

What can you expect?

Quick installation

It can be fitted in a finished home, without drilling or breaking walls.

A system you can live with

We set it up so it is not a burden day to day – otherwise nobody would use it.

You are not left alone

Behind the system there is a control room and a response unit, not just a loud siren.

What an alarm system is made of

Not every home needs every part. At the free survey we put together only what your property actually needs.

Control panel

  • The brain of the system: every detector reports here.
  • Wireless, so no walls have to be opened up.
  • Keeps working during a power cut and without internet.

Siren

  • Loud warning inside and out, with a flashing light.
  • Most intruders leave the scene within the first minute.
  • Has its own battery: it sounds even if torn off the wall.

PIR motion detector

  • Senses the body heat of a person moving in the room.
  • For indoor use: hallways, living rooms, stairwells.
  • The pet-friendly version ignores smaller animals.

PIR + MW dual detector

  • Watches on two different principles: heat and movement.
  • Alarms only when both agree – far fewer false alarms.
  • For draughty, sunlit places and for outdoors.

PIR cam detector

  • A motion detector with a built-in camera.
  • On an alarm it also sends an image – you see what set it off.
  • False alarms are ruled out at once, with no trip to the property.

Door and window contact

  • Fitted to doors and windows, made of two small parts.
  • Reports the moment the door or window moves.
  • Works in home mode too: it guards openings even at night.

Glass break detector

  • Recognises the sound of breaking glass.
  • Alarms as the break happens, not when someone steps in.
  • One detector can cover several windows.

Smoke detector

  • Warns of fire before it turns into real damage.
  • Through the alarm panel it wakes you at night too.
  • With remote monitoring, help is sent even when nobody is home.

CO detector

  • Detects carbon monoxide – an odourless, poisonous gas.
  • Recommended near a boiler, gas heater or fireplace.
  • This is a gas a person cannot notice unaided, not even asleep.

Temperature and humidity sensor

  • Measures the temperature and the humidity of the air.
  • Warns when a holiday home or cellar cools towards freezing.
  • It flags persistently damp air too – that is what turns into mould.

Key fob

  • Fits on a keyring: one button arms, another disarms.
  • A separate panic button calls for help instantly.
  • No code to type at the front door.

Mobile app

  • See from anywhere whether the system is armed.
  • A notification on your phone for every event.
  • Arm it remotely, and give family members their own access.

Frequently asked questions

01 How long does installation take?

For an average family house, usually a single day. Wireless detectors mean no walls have to be opened, so it can be done in a finished home.

02 What if there are pets in the house?

We use pet-tolerant detectors and place them appropriately, so a dog or a cat moving around does not trigger an alarm.

03 Can it be armed partially, for the night?

Yes. The bedrooms can be left out while doors, windows and the ground floor stay protected – one of the most frequently used modes.
